Other BDSM Links

Fetlife, kinky social networking. Remember, it’s not a dating site. It’s more like kinky Facebook. This is the go-to site to meet others in the BDSM community and find events like munches or workshops near you.

BDSMtest.org, the go-to test for seeing where you might fit in. Like any online quiz, it’s not perfect but it can definitely point you in the right direction if you’re trying to figure out what role(s) might be best for you. If you’re new to the lifestyle, I highly suggest you give this a try.

Shibari.ph, a great resource for everything related to Shibari, the Japanese Art of Rope Bondage.

National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, an organization dedicated to improving legal protections for the BDSM and poly communities in the US. Includes helpful resources like lists of kink-aware professionals.

The "Totally Innocuous Fuzzy" Checklist App, a nice interactive web app from Kinxlist. The list is pretty comprehensive and the activities are well-organized into logical categories. You can save the list if you create an account. The app works on both desktop and mobile but at the moment the ability to add comments doesn’t seem to appear on mobile. However, the rest of the checklist functionality will work just fine.

Example Negotiation Checklist, this is not the only one, we’re not even saying it’s the best one. You can always search for more or design your own, but this is a pretty decent option. I like that it has more than a simple binary “yes/no” and accounts for aspects like level of experience, not to mention touching on topics other than just activities for play.

Non-Binding Bondage, a detailed look at the legal complexity of BDSM contracts.

Center for Sexual Positivity: a research, education, and resource center for BDSM, other sexual practices, and the LGBT+ community

Kinkstarter: a site that includes BDSM articles but also has a strong focus on BDSM portrayals within movies and other media.

The BDSMblem Project: a great place to learn about the BDSM emblem, similar emblems, common mistakes people make with the emblem, and what actually sets the BDSM triskelion apart from similar symbols used around the world.

Transgender Terminology, a dictionary (plus other useful links and information) on a website that is paired with the Sounds like you need to be educated on transgender individuals but ok Facebook group.

Shinigami Eyes, a plugin for Chrome or Firefox. This highlights trans-friendly links in green and anti-trans links in red. Links that haven’t been flagged either way remain the default color (usually blue). This can be helpful for self-care, screening members for inclusive groups, etc.

GLAAD, resources for allies

Community for Accredited Online Schools, helpful resources for LGBT+ students

Sounds like you need to be educated on transgender individuals but ok, a Facebook tag group that is also a good educational group for those wanting to learn more about transgender people and their experiences. It has plenty of helpful resources including a language primer and the group is very good about answering questions.

Deadname Remover, Deadname-B-Gone, True Self, I lumped these three together since they each purport to do the same thing. These are browser plugins that allow you to scrub your deadname from selected sites and replace it with a name of your choice

FindPoly, a blog with a lot of good information on different aspects of polyamory.

Poly.Land, a blog with information about polyamory, relationships in general, and sexual/romantic orientations.

More Than Two, a decent starting place to learn about polyamory and has a handy poly glossary. Full disclosure: there is some controversy surrounding one of the authors due to allegations made against him, but nonetheless the site has useful information.

Sounds Like You Need to be Educated About Polyamory but OK, a good educational Facebook group dedicated to poly education and is LGBTQ+ inclusive.

Unicorns-R-Us, a website dedicated to helping people understand the ethical issues with unicorn hunting and couple’s privilege.
